The ultimate guide to flyfishing North-East Victoria – we can’t imagine life without it!

The lakes and streams of north-east Victoria offer some of Australia’s very best trout fishing, and Philip Weigall’s latest book is the key to unlocking it all. Whether you’re new to the area or a seasoned flyfisher, this guide will help you get the most from this remarkable fishery.

Drawing on a lifetime of fishing the region, Philip hasn’t forgotten how daunting an unfamiliar water can be. That’s why the book starts with the essentials—everything from the types of water you’ll encounter, to licence requirements, and even how weather plays its part. From there, it dives into each of the five major trout catchments, with detailed water-by-water breakdowns, reliability ratings, best months to fish, and simple, practical maps to back it all up.

Packed with stunning photography and thoughtful design, Flyfishing North-East Victoria is more than a guide—it’s a celebration of this unique region. You’ll find tactical insights, local knowledge, and plenty of inspiration to explore waters both new and familiar.
